We want to see children flourish, bearing fruit today,
and from generations to come.
Our vocation
To equip and develop children within a solid structure, that is secure and liberating.
Implementation
We execute our vocation around the following four pillars :
Consistent nourishment
♦ Which imparts the classical culture: that which is beautiful, noble, good and true
♦ Which answers to the individual needs of the student: intellectual, emotional, relational and spiritual
♦ Which fosters the development of the individual student’s intelligences, their motivation and discernment
An atmosphere of living learning
♦ Which invites the child to exploration and experience
♦ Which encourages and nourishes reflection
♦ Which invites the child to engage with all that he/she is learning, guided and companioned by adults (master learners)
Relationships that are harmonious and bearers of life
♦ With the students, the teachers, the parents
♦ With nature and society
♦ In a spirit of family, through the parents (and grandparents)
♦ With persons of different beliefs and positions
Nature as a place of learning, discovery and exploration
♦ a place of endless learning, discovery and exploration
♦ A beautiful place which nourishes wonder
♦ A peaceful place which restores
♦ A place that instills and develops responsibility; a place to keep and cultivate
The name of the school: Victor & Salomé
Victor and Salomé are two names of modern children, meaning: everyone is welcome in this school. A boy's name and a girl's name with the ampersand « & » representing the fact that, as students here, they are in relation together.
Victor, meaning « conquer » or « victory », represents for us the fact that there is always a way, with victory as the result. No child has too many difficulties, no child is doomed to failure, there is no permanent impasse. The way through may be long and require endurance, perseverance and creativity, but there will always be “light at the end of the tunnel.”
Salomé, meaning « peace » or « fullness », represents the atmosphere of the school. Children need an environment of peace to learn, to grow and to blossom. This does not mean there will never be constraints or conflicts, but a surround of peace inspires the child with safety and security to conquer whatever the challenge with confidence for a positive outcome.
